Remember when you started your business? You were motivated and had lots of energy. You had a clear vision of what your business would look like and be like. You had great enthusiasm, and you were sure that you would be a great success!
As time goes by you've found yourself getting lost in the many responsibilities, and just trying to get by. You may find yourself feeling like a hamster running round and round in an endless cycle that is keeping you stuck and just trying to survive.
Are you lying awake at night worrying about the future of your business? Are you wondering if the business is going to survive? Are you wondering how you are going to pay the bills and pay the employees? Have you lost sight of your original vision?
It doesn't have to be this way!
Let's talk about a few things you can do right now to take the pressure off and start feeling hopeful about your business success.
1. Take care of yourself! Most likely, your self-esteem has taken a beating! It’s so important that you take steps to nourish and restore your well-being! Educate yourself on the health benefits of a plant-based diet and look for simple, healthy ways to create a self care routine that you can look forward to. Learn how to Pamper yourself and practice saying nice things to yourself. Listen to God and let Him show you what he see’s when He looks at you!
2. Create a plan. Sometimes it can be very hard to think about practical matters concerning your creative business. Especially when you feel overwhelmed. However, moving forward with a plan of action will help you to look forward with hope for your future. Your plans will undoubtedly have setbacks and you’ll need to adjust them from time to time, but having a plan will help you to stay focused and motivated. It will help you to feel like you are living your life with intention and purpose. Having a plan is empowering, and it brings peace of mind.
3. Take an honest look at your financial situation. Are you managing your money or are you flying by the seat of your pants (hoping that everything will just work out)? It has been my experience that money managed wisely grows! Embrace the idea that it's OK to make money, and let money be your servant instead of the other way around.
4. Create a positive environment. Step back for a moment and let yourself remember your original vision you had for your business. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, relax and refocus. Embrace the changes that might be necessary to create positive surroundings. Look around you and notice what you can do to create an environment that uplifts you. Adjust your environment so that it is a joyful place for you and others. Let go of things that are not serving the best and highest good for you and your business. Organize and eliminate the unnecessary. Listen to music that uplifts and invites the spirit of God to dwell within the walls of your business.
As you apply these 4 principles to your life, you can experience new hope, increased well-being, and improved success in life and in your business.
To your success!
